Poe at the Crosley

Master of the macabre Edgar Allan Poe (Tom Laitinen) is joined by poet/detective novelist Anna Katharine Green (Sara Sincell) at the Powel Crosley Estate for the telling of terrifying tales and suspenseful stories. Edgar and Katharine will keep you on the edge of your seat in the mansion's Great Room during their performances of The Raven, The Black Cat, Shadow and more from Poe's extensive library of Gothic fiction pieces.

Party with Poe on Halloween Night! Have a hauntingly good time at the Powel Crosley Estate, beginning at 6:30pm with a delicious array of hors d'oeuvres prepared by the Estate's own Executive Chef Sean Connelly. At 7:30pm, Edgar and Katharine present their spine-tingling performance of "Poe at the Crosley." After the show, the pair will join you for devilishly decadent desserts, coffee and conversation. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening. Admission to this ghoulish gala is $65 per person; reserve by phoning (941) 722-3244.

Dickens at the Crosley
~ A Fantastic Family Tradition! ~

Charles (Justus White) and Catherine Dickens (Catherine White) welcome you to the Crosley Estate for holiday merrymaking with characters-come-to-life Mrs. Dilber (Virginia Bartholomew) and Mrs. Cratchit (Ann Morrison). Never one to miss out on spreading holiday tidings, the Dickens' young daughter Victoria (Kristin Lynn Herbert) wrangles her way into the festivities as well!

A Christmas Carol in the Great Room
A new adaptation of this joyous classic brought to you by Charles Dickens and his wife Catherine.

Mrs. Dilber - Ebenezer Scrooge's laundress - uncovers the truth behind the man's journey from a heartless tightwad to a jubilant, generous gentleman.

Mischievous little Victoria Dickens will delight the children with you and bring out the child in you!

The Cratchit's Christmas Dinner in Powel's Room
Mrs. Cratchit recounts a memorable eve, when everything meant so much because the family had so little.
